AID Saathis and Jeevansaathis

Madhulika

Madhulika Yalamanchi's first volunteering experience was with NSS (National Service Scheme), BITS Pilani. Through this experience, she came in close contact with poverty and helplessness and discovered that she wanted to work on these issues in Rajasthan. As an AID Austin volunteer, she coordinated a number of projects and campaigns, including the Narmada and Bhopal campaigns. Back in India, she interned with Sahyog on a study about unorganized worker rights with a focus on women workers. She also volunteered with AID Chennai, MKSS and the Timbuktu collective among others.

Madhulika is currently working with LSS (Lok Shikshan Sansthan), Rajasthan on their BPL (Below Poverty Level) and PDS (Public Distribution System) campaigns. She will also work to support women and girls who are assuming roles of responsibility within the campaigns.
